On the day
On the morning of the event, there is a lot to think about and prepare for in advance so you can give it your best on the day. Read on for some of the most frequently asked questions about how things work on event morning
What time should I arrive on the morning of the event?
|
Make sure you arrive in enough time to rack your bike and set up your transition area. We recommend that you do this in advance of the safety briefing which takes place half an hour ahead of the event start. If you are planning to pick up your race pack and transponder on the day too, you will need to arrive at least an hour before event start. We also have a warm up about 15 minutes before we get started, so make sure you're ready to take part in that. |
What should I bring with me to the event?
See the what to wear section for tips on what to wear during the event. In addition, make sure you also bring a towel with you and warm clothes to wear once you have crossed the finish line.
What happens if there is bad weather?
Unless the weather prevents us from having a safe event for everybody, the event will still go ahead. A final decision on whether an event will take place or be altered is made an hour before we are due to start by the event management team. Please do be more careful on the course if it is raining and wet as it will become more slippery.
Where do I put my bike in transition?
Each place on the bike racks in transition will be marked with a pink spot. You are free to choose any one these free spots to set up your transition area. Remember that your spot is the same for the whole event, both when you rack your bike at the start and when you come back from your cycle and go on to the run/walk.
Aid Stations
You will find an aid station on both on the run/walk leg (the second run/walk for those of you doing the duathlon) and also at the finish line
How long will it take?
As the courses at each location are all slightly different, for a guideline idea of the finish times for your event this year, you can have a look at our times from previous years Don’t forget that your time doesn’t matter; the important thing is to finish and become a TriWoman!
